As Potentate, it's my pleasure to welcome you to the Osiris website. This is our online home and center for communication with all Osiris Shriners and you. Here you
will find information about our hospitals and the services we provide, our fraternity, and the activities of our Divan, Clubs and Units.
All Shriners are dedicated men with a common goal of helping children. Our fraternity, founded in fun, is committed to helping children with burns or orthopedic problems, regardless of their ability to pay. Shriners network of 22 hospitals throughout North America provide specialty burn and orthopedic care to children in need. If you, or someone you love, needs our help please contact our office at 304.242.2911.
If you are interested in joining the best fraternity on earth, contact Noble Johnny Bitzer, Membership Chairperson, in our office to discuss the details.
Yours in the Faith,
Pete J. Dudash

Shriners International Awareness Day
posted by Brad Forbes on 04/24/2013
Shriners everywhere need to mark their calendars and make
plans to participate in International Shrine Awareness Day
on June 6. The date recognizes the day the Imperial Council
was formed June 6, 1876.
On this day every year, Shriners will be asked to wear their
fez, if appropriate, or a hat, shirt, pin or other item with the
fraternal logo to help recognize fellow Shriners and increase
awareness of Shriners International.
We encourage Shriners everywhere to organize events
at their temples or in their local communities and to invite
the public to participate in order to increase awareness
about the local temple and Shriners International. Other
suggestions include posting information about Shriners
International Awareness Day on your temple websites
and in your temple calendar, publications and electronic
communications. Be sure that each and every noble knows
about Shriners International Awareness Day and encourage
them to participate.
This day of recognition is an opportunity for every Shriner
to share information about the fraternity, its history and
the benefits of becoming part of an organization that is
dedicated to fun, fellowship and philanthropic support.
Calling All Clowns!!!
posted by Brad Forbes on 04/24/2013
There will be plenty of fun, fellowship and brotherly love at
the upcoming 139th Imperial Session in Indianapolis. Our
amazing Shrine clowns will lead the parade on July 1st. The Monday parade will step off that evening at 7:00 PM.
We are hoping to set a world record for the most clowns in
a parade. To do that, we need to break the current record of
850! Shrine lady clowns are also welcome to participate and
help set a new world record!
So temple leadership, please help get your clown units to
the parade in Indianapolis and lets give the public a great time
and showcase all our hilarious, fun-loving clowns!

Shriner Profile of the Quarter
Name: Dustin Blankenship
Hometown: Gilbert, WV
Profession: Student at WVU College of Law and Public Administration
Masonic Lodge: Iaeger #148
Years of Membership: 1
Clubs and Units: Morgantown SC, Hillbilly Clan #154
Reason for Membership: "I have always been active in different community organizations. As such, I received my B. A. in History and kept hearing about this Masonic organization and its importance to our country. Later, I found that my uncle was, in fact, a Mason. I asked him how to be a Mason and the rest of that is history. Because of my love of service and my respect for the Shrine that I gained throughout my masonic education, I contacted beashrinernow.com. Although I was not extremely active for the first part of my Shrine career, getting caught up in law school classes, I was very lucky to gain the friendship of a fellow Noble who talked me into taking a trip up to the Erie Shrine Hospital. I fell in love and haven't looked back."
Favorite Shriner Story: "I've had some amazing times being a part of this fantastic organization. The one that jumps out at me the most is meeting Emily Mellish. I met Emily the first time when I went to the Erie Hospital in June of last year. She is a patient ambassador for Shriners Hospitals. At seven years old, she has had a number of surgeries for her illnesses, but she has more spunk and energy than any seven year old I have ever met. She has raised over $10,000 for Shriners Hospitals since June of last years with her Beads4Needs Fundraiser. Although there are many funny stories that I could tell about being in the Shrine, the story of my hospital visit is my favorite because of the impact it had on my life."
Why Should Someone Join: "If you have a love of philanthropy and fun, you won't find a better organization to be a part of. The Shrine will fill your heart with the work that we do and fill your life with great friends and brothers, creating the strongest bonds I have in my life. There are few greater things a man can do with his life than join Shriners International."
Each quarter we feature information about another Osiris Shriner to promote fellowship within our organization and so people from the general public can see who we are.
